The Society plans to:

1. Promote educational and cultural programmes, including exchange visits involving both British and Syrian delegations.
2. Develop channels from which common economic and business interests can be projected.
3. Strengthen relations with Members of Parliament and political organizations in Britain.
4. Engage the media in both countries with a view to redress the information imbalance.
5. Improve social ties between resident, naturalized or British-born Syrians and the wider British community.
   

In implementing this plan, the society will draw on the wealth of talent comprised in its Board of Directors, including political, media, economic and educational expertise.

Activity programmes will be funded from a number of sources, including revenue collected from corporate and personal membership receipts, and through the Patron Committee which has been set up to actively seek sponsorships and donations.
